Skin Check
A full skin check involves taking your history then examining the entire surface of your skin from head to toe with a dermatoscope. This takes approximately 20 minutes.

Non-Surgical Treatments
Some thin, early skin cancers and sun spots can be treated non-surgically avoiding the risks of surgery.
Your skin cancer doctor will discuss with you all the available options for your particular skin cancer and help you make a decision regarding what’s best for you.
Non-surgical options can include:
Topical creams
Cryotherapy
Photodynamic therapy
Surgical Treatments
Most often, skin cancers are best removed surgically. These are all performed under local anaesthetic and all lesions are sent to our pathologists to ensure all the cancer has been removed.
We routinely perform the following procedures at our Central Coast clinic:
Excisions, where an ellipse of skin is removed and closed with sutures
Curettage, where the lesion is scrapped off and the wound resembles an abrasion.
Flaps and grafts, this is more complicated
surgery allowing us to close a defect made by removing either a large skin cancer or those in difficult sites.
Advanced Surgical Treatments
Large, aggressive cancers and those in difficult sites can often require special surgical techniques.
We are experienced in advanced procedures such as skin grafts, skin flaps, wedge excisions, DRAPE (Delayed Reconstruction After Pathological Examination) procedures, also known as slow MOHS.
Cosmetic Mole Removal
We are highly experienced in removing non-cancerous unsightly moles and skin lesions under local anaesthetic with excellent cosmetic results.
